Dorset Visual Arts at The Sherborne
Dorset Visual Arts is delighted to be able to announce an outline of DVA’s involvement with The Sherborne (Sherborne House) project, in an article written especially for the September edition of The Sherborne Times. The article will be available in print and online from the start of September- and we’ll also share this here on the DVA website from mid-September. The project launches in early 2024 and we’ve been busy working on the main exhibition programme at The House as well as other display, event and retail opportunities which will be available to DVA Members soon.
As a result of this activity, as promised, the team at The Sherborne have started to contact selected DVA Artists and Makers for items to supply the retail areas of The House. We are currently exploring other opportunities for commissions and display, as part of the ongoing programme. All of this is underpinned by the revised DVA Membership offer, with further strands to be announced in the coming months, providing greatly increased value to Dorset artists with DVA Membership and access to more opportunities to engage, collaborate and exhibit.
As well as the programme at The House, we are developing other opportunities for DVA Members including network meetings across the county, coming this autumn, which will also explain our plans and where we can answer any questions about Membership, The Sherborne, Dorset Art Weeks 2024 and some new planned activities and support in the coming months.
