Artist of the Month - Stella Bawden Hollis

Our Artist of the Month for July is Dorset Visual Arts’ Member, Stella Bawden Hollis.
Stella is an abstract landscape artist, strongly influenced by the sea. ‘The sea has always fascinated me. I spend many hours near it, in it or on it, absorbing its ever-shifting moods. This energy, spirit and unpredictability are what I try to capture in bold, abstracted paintings. The varying hues of blue, with their deep, emotional and calming properties, infer a narrative of the sea and sky and feature in much of my work.’
