An MA in Applied Art and Visual Culture sparked my initial interest in the Language of Things, particularly Ceramic things. I established my own practice and was selected as a Professional Member of the CPA in 2003. Alongside this I continued to fuel my interest in Applied Art Theory, teaching Museum Studies at London Metropolitan University, examining the ways in which the meanings of objects change as we move them through different environments. Since leaving London I have continued to develop my ceramic practise from an idyllic spot in North West Dorset. Currently I am exploring the role that narrative can play in my pieces. I sit on the board of Dorset Visual Arts, am on the Board of Directors for Ceramic Review and the Governing Council of the CPA.
