I combine all sorts of media. I have a background in information design and use this mindset to bring together unrelated elements into a coherent whole. My process is to play freely with inks, paints, rollers, pens and sticks, and then to choose marks and shapes that relate to things I’ve noticed on walks around the Dorset countryside. I mix these with my own photography of trees and rocks, making images based on the landscape. The thrill for me lies in finding unexpected combinations. I work from a garden studio in Bridport and welcome visits from other artists.
