Painting since childhood and teaching since '92, and at Kingston Maurward since '99, Sally's subjects illuminate her passion for botany and conservation. Her illustrated books include "Pears" and "Plums" both by Jim Arbury and Sally Pinhey, "Natural Dyes" by Judy Hardman and Sally Pinhey and "The Botanical Illustrator's Handbook" by Sally Pinhey. Plants for Soil Regeneration - an illustrated Guide published by CABI, by Sally Pinhey and Margaret Tebbs She is a member of the Association of Illustrators, a Fellow of the Chelsea Physic Garden Florilegium Society, holder of two RHS Silver Gilt medals, and is currently studying for an MSc in Applied Science. Her painting of "Egdon Heath" hangs in the |House of Lords. She gives talks and demonstrations to societies on the History of Botanical Art, Sand Dams, Trekking and plants from the Himalayas.
