Robin Moorcroft
As a printmaker I use a variety of techniques, particularly collagraphy, lino cutting and monoprinting. My main source of inspiration is the natural environment. I enjoy combining linocutting and monoprinting to work in series, using strong shapes as a starting point for explorations in colour, form and pattern. Collagraphs are a perfect medium for more textural pieces and I use natural plant materials to create the majority of my printing blocks. Most recently, I have been experimenting with printing directly using pressed plant materials. I also run workshops from home, offering courses in collagraphy, linocutting and monoprinting. Dates arranged to suit. Please visit my website for further information and photographs of earlier students' work.
