Marko Humphrey-Lahti

Marko learnt his initial stone carving skills on Gozo, Malta and went on to study sculpting techniques at the University of Hertfordshire. His sculptures can generally be described as figurative to abstract. Most of his sculptures are hand-carved in marble, limestones and alabasters. He also has his sculptures cast in Bronze, Aluminium and composite resins. Marko exhibits his works in galleries and group shows both in the UK and internationally. He has exhibited with the Royal Society of Sculptors, the Royal Society of British Artists and the National Society in London on many occasions. He was elected to the Royal Society of Sculptors in 2009 and won the prestigious Brian Mercer stone carving residence in Pietrasanta, Italy in 2016/17. He was selected to exhibit at the Art and Culture Biennale in Rome in 2018/19. His works can be found in public and private collections throughout the UK and in Australia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland , UAE and the USA.
