Since graduating with a Degree in Fine Art from Plymouth University in 2000, Katie has been painting and drawing full time and has become a well established and renowned fine artist, with equestrian, landscape and canine being her main subjects. Through passionate and instinctive vigorous mark making, strong draughtsmanship, channelling and intuitive awareness, Katie brings the essence and spirit of her subjects alive. In her paintings, everything in the composition is treated equally, creating a juxtaposition. As well as enjoying the brush strokes of the painting in their own right, the viewer also feels that they could be standing there at that moment in time. Katie has exhibited widely and her most notable commission to date was being Artist in Residence to the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment during 2011-2012, the year of the Royal Wedding between the Prince and Princess of Wales, culminating in an exhibition at Hyde Park Barracks.
