With a background in interior architecture I have always drawn. I produce highly detailed pen and ink drawings of buildings in their environment also of gardens with particular emphasis on capturing textures and form. I have recently taken up monoprinting. I used these prints to construct collages where I explore colour and pattern in abstract landscapes. For the last eight years I have been developing a more three dimensional body of work using tightly rolled paper disks. I manipulate the discs to explore texture, pattern, form and shadow. The pieces are abstract but help me review life events and travel on imagined journeys.
