A lifelong fascination with all thing visual has led me on a creative journey from art school into teaching, to making steel strung acoustic guitars. More recently I have rekindled my relationship with oil painting in particular...portraiture under the guidance of Nick Beer in Salisbury. I have an admiration for the old masters of the renaissance and the skilful draughtsmanship of traditional drawing and painting. So far I have managed to avoid the tyranny of a commercial agenda....I paint what I like and that, rightly or wrongly, dictates my direction on a journey of self discovery.
