profile picture

BA Constructed Textiles Middlesex Poly; MA Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking UWE Bristol. Jacy weaves mainly in wool, linen and silk, and dyes all her own yarns, always sensitive to the range of tones to be found in any one colour. Her printmaking is centred around etching and drypoint, happiest with the qualities of mark making when working with intaglio as opposed to a surface print technique. Jacy's work has been exhibited widely across the region, and in 2012 she was awarded Arts Council funding for her 'Nature of Mending' project, which culminated in an exhibition at Walford Mill, Wimborne in 2013, followed by a second show 'Mending Revealed' at Bridport Arts Centre in 2016.(www.natureofmending.co.uk)In 2017 Jacy had an acclaimed solo show 'The Continuous Thread' at The Slade Centre in Gillingham, presenting a rectrospective plus new work, of tapestires and prints. Jacy is a member of artist led groups Somerset Printmakers and Fingerprint, and is a Trustee of the Theo Moorman Trust for Weavers.
