Group 7
Group 7: Brian Bishop - Martyn Brewster - Bonnie Brown - Michelle Griffiths - Ursula Leach – Stephen Powell – Peter Symons. Group 7 has been formed from the original “7 ARTISTS” which was established in the 1970's. Group 7 is a long established group of high profile artists who are building up a considerable reputation within the Wessex region, the UK and Internationally. Although they exhibit together and discuss their approach and ideas with one another, Group 7 do not espouse a common artistic style or philosophy as their work demonstrates, they have all developed a very individual artistic vision and practice. All members of Group 7 have established individual exhibiting careers. Group 7 is strengthened by its concerns for the continuation of all aspects of the fine arts including painting, drawing, printmaking, film making and sculpture through the exploration of colour and mediums. The work evokes emotional responses from the viewer as well as a commentary on the human condition and environment
