Having widely exhibited her documentary based photographic work, during her 25 year career in Post 16 Art Education in Oxfordshire, Elizabeth Brown is now reviewing her medium and responses to a new landscape. Always motivated by a strong need to express my observations and thoughts, the journey to my studio through Middlebere Heath with its variety and intricacies, became a contemplative challenge. To advance the meaningful emotion of journey's so drenched in shifting colour and ideas, led me to eliminate form and pursue an imaginary schematic of the DNA of colour in which to describe this. I am pleased to say, this new work has recently been exhibited at Durlston Country Park as part of 'The Instinct of Hope' exhibition and is showing at The Royal Western Arts 171st Open Exhibition.
