Dawn Thomson
Landscapes
Dawn is a professional artist from Dorset who paints a variety of subjects. Whether she is outside working "en plein air" or in the studio, capturing the beautiful essence of the world is her focus in painting. Nothing soothes the soul quite like a landscape and Dawn works to get a natural likeness with a soulful feeling. After completing a Fine Art BA (Hons.) degree in 1991 she moved to London. She exhibits regularly, selling work and taking commissions. She is passionate about capturing landscapes and gardens and the juxtaposition of colours. Her painting “Spring Blossom” is part of the Southwark Art Collection and published in ArtUK’s catalogue of South East London. She also was commissioned by St Mary’s Church in Rotherhithe, London to paint a replica of their stolen painting of King Charles I based on the Eikon Basilica. I paint. I make things. I love colour, plants, gardens, landscapes and beautiful homes. I suffer from chronic pain and anxiety so my focus is always to improve my “sanctuary”. Please let my art take you to beautiful places.
