Re-growth, Disintegration
I am a visual artist and musician - a creative! I write some music to go with my paintings and I introduce words into my paintings, as one would with music. I love to play on my hammer dulcimer in galleries and at home during Art Weeks. My paintings have recently explored disintegration, recovery from infection (a brain abscess that paralysed my left arm) which I drew with just my non-dominant left hand and now I'm a bit obsessed with drawing wild growth, especially wild-flower meadows. Occasionally, I explore the depiction of the atmosphere of a special place and memories. I am currently working on a set of banners using the work from members of various Stroke Clubs. This has been inspirational and I am looking forward to presenting them at DAWs 2024, at DCH and other galleries.
