profile picture

I have a particular interest in exploring sense of place and human connection through time. In my practice I go deeply into background research, which then allows me to make unusual and meaningful connections in my work. My aim is to reveal hidden narratives both real and imagined. I am drawn to using antique and vintage objects and materials in my work as I feel they can give us a real physical and emotional connection with the past. Currently I am working on a series of work responding to the historic Dorchester Prison site. I work in a wide variety of media including installation, collage, textiles, photography, mixed media and print. These are chosen depending on what I want the viewer of the work to experience and the work to convey. I aim to deepen my art practice further next year by studying for a Master’s Degree in Fine Art.
